The Necessity of Socks
An excerpt from my research within my paper explains here that "Socks are among the most needed items at homeless shelters, yet among the least-often donated. (Costello T, 2012) jackets, coats and shoes are in abundance, but aren't necessarily the most crucial. Costello had gone on to say “regular donors of clothing such as coats and pants will usually wear their own socks until they have holes and then throw them away.” By these points one thing still remains prevalent, people don't donate socks. People either wear the until them down to a fiber, or simply end up losing them."
The more research I would do, the importance of socks would increase. Reflecting off the paragraph above, it's become clear that people really do not donate socks. I've personally been in multiple shelter clothing closets and have talked to the administrators.
